Could You Be The Next Self Made Woman Millionaire?
Women have been in the work place for many decades now and statistics show that we are earning more and more as the years go on. Sometimes earning even more than our male counterparts. While this may be difficult for some to believe it is actually true, some believe it has to do with the amount of women receiving college degrees to the amount of men receiving them which often times increases overall earning potential. Not only is this seen in the corporate world but also in the world of high profile women in the media and as well as those who literally start from the ground up with their own personal at home business.
The list of women millionaires is only growing as time goes by, with the expansion of technology as well as the platform that certain media outlets, such as reality television, has afforded certain women to propel themselves in front many people to be able to brand themselves and market their product. There is no shortage of women who had worked hard to be successful. This has been the case for several women who had businesses that were doing relatively well but the added publicity skyrocketed them into millionaire status. Bethenny Frankel is one that comes to mind. She had attended and graduated culinary school and had been working as a chef when she was asked to do the reality show Real Housewives Of New York. Once that show ran for only two seasons, Bethenny started to branch out of her profession as a chef and started harvesting ideas for cookbooks and an alcohol beverage line, specifically for the calorie conscious called Skinny Girl. Earlier this year she was able to sell her alcohol beverage line for a whopping 120 million dollars. Which just goes to show you that marketing and branding work, whether on a big or small scale.
For those not likely to receive a reality show deal, don’t fret you don’t need one. Self made women millionaires such as Ashley Qualls, Jen Smith, Carrie Wilkerson, and Heather Armstrong all started on their journey from the comfort of their own homes. Many used blogs and websites to generate buzz about their particular focus and some went from pretty far in debt to making nice 7 figure salaries. All of these women have one thing in common, they worked hard, believed it was possible and didn’t give up. You can absolutely mirror their success with some key tips that some of them credit to really helping them prosper.
The first one is to dream big, if you don’t visualize what you want your success to entail it’s unlikely to manifest properly. Always stay in a positive mindset and see what you want your success to look like. See yourself as self employed and self made, all of the women listed above took complete control over their goals and financial lives and worked on their own terms. Commit to excellence, know what you are worth and realize how hard and how long you may have to work to achieve it but to stay on the path that you create for yourself.
With the influx of self made women millionaires on the rise, who’s to say you can’t be next? Do some research, make a business plan and get to work. Many self made women who had worked hard to be successful came before you so anything is possible.
