A recent study reported in the Journal of Family Psychology has concluded that mothers who work outside the home when their children are young are both healthier and happier. Later, I am going to analyze these findings from my own perspective as a stay-at-home mom who also works from home, but for now, let’s look at the research. The study was based on a series of interviews with over 1,300 moms from nine different states over a time span exceeding 10 years. It compared women with full-time work, part-time work and stay-at-home moms over a broad spectrum of subjects, including symptoms of depression, involvement with their children’s education, and conflicts between work and family.

Eating Organic Food – Beneficial or Just Expensive Habit?

Increasing numbers of consumers are turning to organically produced foods for their health benefits. Independent research studies have confirmed that many organic foods actually have higher nutrient content than their conventionally produced counterparts. When compared to the nutrients found in a host of foods from the early part of the 20th century, today’s same food products produced by conventional farming methods have significantly lower nutrient levels.
